Nafferton All Saints' Church, and St. Mary's, Wansford - Rev'd Jean Artley - Priest in Charge
About Us
This is St. Mary's Church, Wansford - part of the Sykes' Churches built in the 19th Century.  We have some beautiful stained glass and a marble chancel screen and pulpit.  Recent updating of the lighting [thanks to English Heritage] has made it possible to see a fine painted roof in both nave and chancel.  Church is open every Thursday and Sunday during daylight hours.
We are a small, but faithful, worshipping community.  For services see SERVICES page.

All Saints' Parish Church, Nafferton has a small but active, lively congregation.  In addition to regular Sunday services [see SERVICES page], we have an annual Teddy Bears' Picnic on the Vicarage lawn, a Teddy Parachute Jump, a Pumpkin Party, and Crib Service for everyone young and young at heart.  Our Festival of Christmas  and Christmas Crackers Concert has now become a yearly event [we aren't able to say who is crackers - those of us who perform, or our fan base!].  We hold a yearly Midsummer Fair and from time to time a Flower Festival and other special services.  Future events planned are an 'All Things Bright and Beautiful' Sale, and an 'All Creatures Great and Small' Pets' Service in the summer - watch this space!
This website will seek to keep you informed on a regular basis.  All Saints' is a lovely building and well worth a visit.  Keys to the church can be obtained by contacting Rev'd Jean at the Vicarage.

In addition, we have raised the finances necessary for a new ring of 6 bells to replace the 3 bells in our tower.  Work on this begins early 2010. We have recently repaired the back path into church and are hoping to have a loop system and microphones installed early in 2010. All these have been possible because of very generous donations by our church family and village.  Fture fund-raising events will be notified on this website.
